Sigma House Fundraising
Delta Zeta National House Corporation is graciously covering most of the cost of Sigma chapter’s new home, coming Fall 2026. However, we are fundraising for certain upgrades, including chapter room chairs, a new piano, holiday décor, and future projects. We are also partnering with the Delta Zeta Foundation to fundraise for the Sigma Chapter History Project, a tax-deductible initiative to digitize our chapter composites.
Be sure to check back often, follow us on social media, and subscribe to our emails for fundraising updates. Visit the Upcoming Events page for details on our House Dedication celebration, the weekend of October 9th–11th, celebrating Sigma chapter’s new home.
HOUSE INITIATIVES
The chapter is in need of 350 chairs for the new chapter room. The chairs will be an all-wood chair with a laser engraved lamp on the back. Click the title to see photos of similar chairs. The chairs are meant to remain permanently in the chapter room. No more need to pick up chairs after chapter meetings!
Each chair is $300 and may be purchased by a sister or on behalf of a sister, such as by a spouse or parent. The chairs are a great gift to purchase on behalf of a graduating senior! Each sister’s name will be acknowledged on a plaque in the chapter room.
The piano in the Sigma chapter house has been a timeless staple for decades. We are looking to purchase a new piano to carry on this tradition in the new house. Monetary donations may be made, but we are also looking for a donor willing to make an in-kind donation of the piano. Please select in-kind donation from the dropdown menu if you are interested in donating the piano, and we will reach out to you.
Sigma chapter has created giving societies to support a general fund for housing initiatives.
Any furniture, decor, art, fabric, technological, or other capital upgrades that Sigma chapter may choose beyond what has been graciously provided by National House Corporation will be funded through these donations. These funds will also support miscellaneous expenses for the new house, such as new holiday decorations to account for the increased size of the house.
Donors’ names with their giving society will be included on a plaque in the new house. Select your giving society level below.

Sigma CHAPTER History Project
Sigma chapter has partnered with the Delta Zeta Foundation for the Sigma Chapter History Project, the digital preservation process of all the composites from Sigma Chapter. As the chapter continues to grow over many decades, the composites were at risk of damage, deterioration, and loss. Additionally, the house was experiencing storage space issues and needed a plan for the future. Now, the composites will be protected for past and future generations to appreciate.
The composites and their information are sorted, recorded, and organized. Then, the digitization process begins where the composites are preserved to the highest archival standards. Next, complementary tags and descriptions for the composites are created, making Sigma chapter’s history easily searchable. Lastly, Sigma chapter’s own “Digital Museum” will be created for people to search and explore at any time. This system will include a touchscreen display installed at the house for alumnae and actives alike to use.
